| The Fort Mifflin Flag consisted of thirteen alternating stripes of red, white and blue, representing the thirteen colonies. In the fall of 1777, the fort was under siege for more than a month. From Oct 4 - Nov 16, over 10,000 cannonballs were fired at Fort Mifflin. The giant flag flown during the battle could be seen from Philadelphia, over 7 miles away. |
